Synopsis
This module is designed to ensure skills and knowledge required for a care giver to administrate medicines and to promote healthy eating and ensure that food and drinks provided are nutritious, appropriate for each elder and prepared in a safe and hygienic manner.
Module Objectives
The aim of this module is to enable students to:- Gain knowledge on medicine administration necessary for care givers
- Understand planning and preparation of food and drink for elders
- Identify requirements related to food allergies, medical conditions and culture and religion
